We are home now and hunting season is officially over. It feels GREAT! However the extra money will be missed and it was lots of fun. The girls are sure glad to be home. We had a lazy Thanksgiving. The last day of the hunt was the day before Thansgiving and I had been feeding 20 guys for 6 days and I caught a cold on the last couple of days. So, we just enjoyed relaxing, had lunch at the lodge and then went to Quemado and saw Jared's family for the rest of the day.
The girls are soooo excited about the Christmas season and Savannah has decided that blue and raspberry are her new favorite colors,(previously pink and red). I asked how they want to decorate the tree this year and she said all blue. So we got blue lights, blue glass balls with snowflakes, and blue bows. Shaylee is very in to the Tinkerbell faries and we found some "fairy" ornaments for her. Maybe we will put our tree up and do some decorating tomorrow!

Halloween
So, here it is, a week late. It was lots of fun, the girls got PLENTY of candy and got to strut around as princesses again! We went to a Trunk or Treat at the church here in Queen Creek. My friend Mary called me the morning of Halloween and we were just chatting, she said she was gonna dress up as a farmer so I said, "what the heck, I may as well dress up to." So the girls and I went to Party City and they chose Cinderella for me. If only we could've got daddy to dress up as Prince Charming!

It's been awhile
Hello everyone. We have been gone for quite a bit this month so the blog has suffered. Hunting season started up by Grants, NM. I went up there with my brother Dalon and cooked for two weeks. We had so much fun. We camped on the back side of Mt. Taylor, so pretty up there. I should've taken pictures. The girls stayed with my mom in Luna and went to school, they are learning so much. I got 1 day off between week one and two and when I went to see them it was pretty dang hard to leave them for another week. Then we came back to Queen Creek for a couple of days (daddy needs more attention) and then it was back to Luna for another week.
The girls love it on the ranch and the mountains. They love being able to go outside and have all the wide open space to play in, something I was lucky enough to do every day when I was little. Uncle Dalon got them a miniature donkey "Pokey Joe", which they absolutely love. He is as gentle as a dog and just their size. We are getting them saddles for Christmas this year, shhhh...They will think they are in heaven when they can ride their donkey with a saddle just their size. Pretty Exciting!

Happy Birthday Shaylee
Shaylee is 3 today! She is getting to be such a big girl.Everything her big sister does, she wants to do. It's so sweet . She started dance (tap, ballet and jazz) on Thursday and is already wanting to know how long until next time. Savannah is in the same class and told me that the teacher had to tell Shaylee to be quiet because she kept talking to the girl next to her. I guess they were talking about their tutus.
"SO CUTE" if you ask me.
We took the girls and our friends Micah, Mary, Amber and Kaylee to Amazing Jakes for Shaylee's birthday party. We had such a good time. The girls rode a frog hopper, a train and some spinning tea cups and then played some other games. It was a Tinkerbell party, which Shaylee loves right now. If we ask her what she wants to be when she grows up she says "Tinkerbell."
What a delight this little girl has been to our whole family. She has such a sweet and fun personality and makes us all smile so often. We love her sooo much.

Luna Pioneer Days
We just got home this afternoon. We had so much fun. Jared had to work all week so the girls and I went up last Monday. It has been raining up there for awhile now so the grass is knee heighth and the weather is beautiful.
So on the way home I had a brain storm and decided to make a Moon Valley Outfitter float for the parade and have all five grandkids be in camo on it. My sister-in-law Larae and I dressed in camo and rode with them. As you can see in the slide it was pretty cute. The kids threw out lots of candy and ate quite a bit while they were doing it. Savannah had a bugling tube and she bugled threw the whole parade. She is sounding pretty darn good too.
Then we went to the rodeo. My brothers Dalon and Elden and their friend Armondo Aarona got in the Wild Cow Race and won! Woo Hoo! Dalon also won the bareback riding. He says he is trying to collect enough Luna Rodeo buckles that if he marries a big girl he will have enough buckles to make her a concho belt with them that will go all the way around her! I think he has 8 or 10 by now so he should be getting close. He is so funny.
Savannah,Kason and Hadley all rode sheep. Shaylee wanted to but I was to scared to let her, probably next year. Savannah was so excited to do it as soon as we told her about it, all the way until she got in the shoot with it. Dalon helped her and she told him "Uncle Dilly, I think I've changed my mind." Of course he told her to grab two hands full of wool and hold on tight. She made it pretty far and when she hit the ground she jumped up and dusted off smiling. She says she can't wait to do it again. Kason and Hadley were also so cute riding theirs.
Yesterday evening we drove down in the meadows below my dads house. There must have been 200 elk (cows and calves) in there. We turned the truck off and listened to them all talking to eachother. The girls thought that was so cool that they stuck their heads out the windows and were trying to make the elk sounds also. It was so cute.
We had such a great time just hangin out with family and friends and can't wait to go again.

The Little Mermaids
We have swam a lot this summer thanks to Aunt Eloise. She has been so nice and let us come anytime we want. Savannah could swim really well last summer and this summer she has become awesome at it. She can dive 9 feet to the bottom of the pool and pick up diving rings, swim from one end of the pool to the other and is so much fun to watch. She absolutely loves it and would swim two or three times a day if I would take her.
Miss Shaylee has been pretty timid about until the last couple of days. She has figured out how to put her face in and we take her floaties of in the shallow and she can swim a few feet at a time now. The other day she had been playing without her floaties on for quite awhile so I told her we should put them back on and she got a sad little face and said " No Mommy, I just wanna be a little fish like Savannah." She loves to be like her big sis so I'm sure it won't be much longer until she is being a fish just like Savannah!

A wonderful weekend
We went up to Luna and Quemado for the weekend. We went to the parade in Quemado and the girls filled a big bag with candy. Then we went to Luna and had dinner with family, a fish fry of Striped Bass some of my family had caught at Lake Powell last week and some Tuna and Mahi Mahi dad and mom caught in Mexico a couple of weeks ago. It was so good! Then we set of a bunch of fireworks. Savannah and Shaylee loved them.
Then we went back to Quemado for Nani Joy's birthday. We had a hot dog roast, made smores, had cake and set off a few more fireworks. It was all so much fun! Our families are the best!
